Job description

Our client,  Top Entertainment Studio, is looking for a Digital Media Prep Technician to join their team. This will be a 1 year contract and hybrid to Hollywood. 

Responsibilities may include:
  • Coordinate with numerous teams across multiple divisions to ensure that content is received on time 
  • Facilitate all inbound deliveries from digital transfer or hard drives
  • Make sure that inbound content is made available to the designated team that's working on it per required deadlines
  • Clearly communicate any inbound delivery issues
  • Run MD5 checksums provided by vendor to ensure complete and uncorrupted deliveries
  • Manage production storage environment so it does not exceed capacity
  • Create proxy files for archive
  • Confirm and track servicing assets ingested properly to the internal servicing library
  • Deliver all content needed for archive to the Library Governance team
  • Manage, prep and deliver all archival content in a timely manner
  • Take in, track, and deliver all localization content coming into the operation, escalating delivery issues to the localization team when necessary
  • Track all pre-release fulfillment deliveries through success notifications, closing out work orders upon delivery completion
  • Export CSVs with file metadata and upload to our internal servicing library
  • Occasionally spot check and verify inbound content meets technical specifications
  • Occasionally spot check and segment content within our internal servicing library
Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge of computer file systems and operating systems (Windows/Mac/Linux, MS Excel/Word/Outlook, hard drives)
  • Comprehensive understanding of digital video formats, file based workflows and metadata standards
  • Experience with inbound and outbound methodologies such as Signiant and Aspera
  • Acquainted with transcoding systems/technologies
  • Experience with various formats of digital media (.mov, .mpg, .mxf, .dpx) and storage systems (Isilon, SAN, LTO)
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with proven problem solving skills while working independently as well as within a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally while managing client expectations with a Customer Service Focus as part of a diverse team
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including swing/grave and weekend shifts in a fast-paced, deadline intensive environment
