Job description

Our client, a Media Agency, is looking for a Group Director for their Digital Partnerships team. This will be a 6 month contract and fully remote but you must be comfortable working PST hours. 

As the Group Director, you will be responsible for articulating the role of each channel and how they can bring a client's strategy to life while meeting their business objectives. Utilizing your extensive knowledge of the digital landscape, past campaign performance, and research, you will also provide investment recommendations.

Responsibilities:
  • Communicate directly with clients to understand marketplace intelligence, negotiate partnerships, and take accountability for day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with Strategy, Analytics, and Client Advice teams to ensure alignment with client KPIs.
  • Develop investment plans incorporating rationale and research for buy-in from clients.
  • Lead the development of go-to-market strategies, recommendations, and points of view.
  • Support staff development through performance management and consistent feedback.
  • Cultivate key marketplace relationships with senior-level media owners and technology platform contacts.
  • Identify new partners and emerging opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Assist in facilitating new business initiatives as well as organic growth opportunities with current clients.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proven ability to interpret data for informed go-to-market strategies; adept at translating data into well-articulated ideas.
  • Strong relationships with senior salespeople at major media companies.
  • Creative approach to defining deal terms based on client objectives including pricing models and value propositions.
  • Track record of successful client relations management and growing existing business.
  • Knowledge of buying process, planning techniques, client presentation skills, and reporting methods within media industry context
  • Technical proficiency in media systems as well as MS Excel Word & PowerPoint

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in buying network, cable, syndication or other media companies
  • At least 6 years of successful staff management experience.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable presenting to clients and internal team members.
  •  Solid understanding of marketing/communications process and the role of media partnerships within it.
  • Ability to work well in teams, handle multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Detailed awareness of client business issues, industry trends, consumer trends, promotional resources, market status, and competition.
  • Solid understanding of research tools.
