Energy Sales Consultant - Full Time, Hertfordshire

An exciting opportunity is available for the right candidate to join a fast-growing team and become part of an expanding energy management consultancy. The ideal individual sought is a self-motivated and proactive sales professional, preferably with experience in the energy sector or a background in utility brokerage/consultancy. As an Energy Consultant, the role involves generating leads and cultivating relationships with SMEs and large corporate businesses using a consultancy approach. Comprehensive sales support will be provided by a highly trained administration team.


  • Generating sales leads by leveraging personal contacts and utilising social media and online research

  • Identifying opportunities to cross-sell or upsell additional products and services offered to a growing customer base

  • Meeting sales targets and KPIs

  • Providing weekly progress, pipeline, and sales reports directly to the Managing Directors

  • Maintaining and managing prospects by updating the CRM system

  • Participating in weekly sales meetings, either in person or online, to share progress and best practices with the team


  • Demonstrated sales background and experience in B2B sales

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent relationship-building skills

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Good time management, organizational, and prioritisation skills

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and PowerPoint

  • Presentation and negotiation skills

Additional Information

  • Basic Salary: £24,000 - £33,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

  • Individual commission structure

  • Target-based bonus

  • Bonus based on achievement of company turnover

  • 37.5 hours per week

  • Annual Leave Entitlement: 29 days, including bank holidays, with additional days off between Christmas and New Year
