24 Seven is partnering with a top global sportwear client to help them find a Footwear Merchant for this remote opportunity. This is a 3 month contract with part time hours (about 20 hours a week) working in EST time zone.The ideal candidate: will have a bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of experience in Product Management or Merchandising.
We are seeking an experienced Merchant to support the footwear team on a part-time, temporary basis. As a Merchant, this individual will be responsible for working on future-season line architecture and assortment plans in collaboration with Merchandise Planning and Global Merchandising. This individual will participate in pre-season milestone meetings and represent the channel in Global meetings.
Responsibilities:
• Build off existing work to execute FW24 Product Assortment & tiering strategy
• Collaborate with Merchandise planning on inventory positioning and financial plan for FW24
• Drive decisions and line architecture for SS25 based on existing strategy s.
• Analyze sales trends and competitive landscape and make recommendations for strategic action and segmentation
QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITES:
• Ability to articulate business trends and product strategies
• Self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Great time management skills, organization, and follow-up skills.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 3-5 years of experience in Product Management or Merchandising (Merch, VM or Planning) positions
• DTC/Retail Experience preferred
• Knowledge of footwear market a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
