Freelance Production Planner (Beauty Brand)
8 month contract - 30 hours/ week
Hybrid/ Remote On Site 3 days/ week (NYC Office)
Pay: $50-55/hr (DOE) 


Client Overview:

Production Planner Responsibilities:

· As Production Planner, you will assess material availability and capacity management to plan short to long-term product requirements to ensure that customer service and inventory targets are met accordingly. Besides handling product requirements, you may also be managing assets across multiple locations.

· Procure production materials and coordinate work order of finished products.

· Coordinate production with subcontractors and confirm material availability to create weekly process orders for ongoing subcontracted production to support service objectives, including creation of stock transfers from other warehouse facilities.

· Assess material shortages blocking order conversion and follow up with suppliers to expedite deliveries.

· Ensure smoother supply chain through capacity planning and economic order quantity evaluation.

· Check proper date maintenance, quantity, and sequencing by evaluating days of supply and prioritizing production runs.

· Confirm only needed products are being planned and run, and communicate supply issues to Sales & Marketing.

· Assist in coordinating engineering changes, product line extensions or new product launches to ensure timely transitions in material and production flow.

Production Planner Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree.

· 3-5 years experience in planning or production; beauty experience is required. Gifting/ Kits are a plus.

· Fundamental understanding of supply chain (plan, source, make, deliver), organization integration, enterprise wide system and process, and importance of Master Data in overall success and operation of supply chain.

· Advanced computer skills and excellent proficiency in Great Plains ERP, MS Office, Outlook.

· Strong decision making and interpersonal communication skills as well as ability to work independently.
