Girls Division – Denim DesignerClient Overview: Our client is a privately held conglomerate with an international reach. The company designs and manufactures a wide variety of denim, apparel and accessories, and has earned a distinguished reputation for quality and excellence.
Position Overview: The Designer will work closely with the Senior Design Director and Senior Designer on the seasonal design development process from concept to delivery that meets market needs and drive sales.
Designer Responsibilities:
• Prepare tech packs for development and production
• Communicate with our HK/China offices on a daily basis regarding development of the line.
• Design and develop embroideries, prints, washes
• Track and maintain design calendar to ensure timely execution of product development calendar
• Research trends, fabrics and trims for sample development and maintain library
• Continual market research.
• Partner with technical design and production to develop line, facilitate inter office communication
• Evaluate lab dips, strike-offs, packaging, trims, work with sales & production team as orders are placed.
Designer Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in fashion design
• Denim experience is essential- girls or juniors experience is preferred
• Experience in embellishments, embroideries, appliques, sequins, rhinestones also essential.
• Experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, Excel, Word
• Walmart experience, preferred.
• 5-7 years related experience
