Our client, a Top Gaming Studio, is looking for for a Graphic Designer to join their team. This will be a 4 month contract and hybrid to Santa Monica.This role provides support services to all engaged departments: PR, Marketing, Production and development studios to produce high-quality art and design assets. Typical end use will include, but is not limited to, editorial, social, marketing, internal, and occasionally in-game use.
This role includes but is not limited to the following tasks/duties:
- Create original print and digital design assets, including packaging, event materials, social content, seasonal art, posters, web banners, etc.
- Generate other art assets, including reference materials for studios, 1st party online use, and marketing.
- Update Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, and PowerPoint projects and other assets received from external sources
- Organize, archive, and back up projects
- Work closely with the design leads to develop creative that is on brief and meets stakeholder needs
- Implement feedback received from our marketing partners and other internal groups.
- A keen eye for attention to detail and adherence to defined brand guidelines.
- Confidently manage own timelines and workloads and communicate needs with lead and creative director.
- Integrate 3d assets into static designs
- Troubleshoot computer equipment, including Macbook Pro and PC workstations
- Perform other duties, as assigned
- Advanced knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator
- Experience with Figma and other Adobe products a plus
- Good eye for composition, framing, alignment and color
- Ability to conceptualize, plan, and execute the creation of original designs for projects
- Very basic knowledge of After Effects a plus
- Thick skinned, good listener and able to take constructive criticism
- Experience with social media and digital marketing campaigns and strategies
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize projects
- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
- High level of attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Experience with PowerPoint. Google slides and Keynote are a plus.
- Bonus points if you have experience with copywriting, motion graphics, photography, typography, UX/UI, illustration and/or 3D modeling
- 3 to 5 years of experience. Video game industry experience a plus
- College degree in the requisite field or equivalent experience preferred.
