Packaging/Supply Chain Project Manager

Hybrid – 3 days onsite Manhattan
Job Description:
Our client, a cosmetic and personal care company, is seeking a passionate Project Manager to oversee and deliver the on-time executions of new product launches and specific customer/channel initiatives. The individual will take project ownership and oversee the full cycle of development. Our client is looking for a self-motivated, curious, dynamic individual to join their ever-growing organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of the product development cycle, including overview of all functions that take new launches from ideation to realization: conception, engineering, new tooling, color development, production, and filling/assembly.
• Facilitates to define the project scope, goals, and deliverables
• Set deadlines, monitor, and summarize progress of projects for companywide visibility
• Manage multiple concurrent projects (all at different stages of product development cycle)
• Maintain timely communication between cross functional teams
• Assess project risks and process opportunities to initiate action plans as necessary
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to control project changes, minimize risks, and keep the team accountable to their deliverables
• Other duties as assigned
SUPPLY CHAIN RESPONSIBILITES to grow into:
• Clear understanding of the “Big Picture” view to oversee and manage integration between the newly deployed project processes and already existing processes.
• E2E 3PL vendor relationship management including but not limited to SOP process development, performance management, and KPI reporting.
• Drive operational efficiencies with 3PL partners and deliver cost optimization. Building relationships with suppliers & procurement/purchasing negotiations
• 3-5+ years of packaging project management experience (preferably in fragrance or cosmetic industry) - Must have direct vendor relationship experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of project management tools and best practices
• Self-starter who will thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Possess a strong sense of urgency and ability to multi-task and pivot
• Strong organizational and presentation skills
• Certified Project Management (PMP) is a plus
