Job description

Our client, a major entertainment studio has an immediate need for an Instructional Designer. This is a five month freelance assignment (40 hours a week) that is fully remote. Must be able to work EST hours if located in another time zone.

 

Description:

As the Instructional Designer, you will collaborate with a team of innovative professionals to design & create learning resources that support our front line channel to deliver the best possible customer experience. You will build innovative and compelling new hire programs, training modules, and learning resources centered around instructional design principles and adult learning theory.

 

Your Role:

  • Implementing key design improvements for new hire/existing training programs and creating new engaging training solutions centered on Instructional Design principles
  • Incorporate a variety of learning methodologies designed for virtual, classroom, and self-directed delivery modalities to training programs and learning materials, integrating adult learning theory and creativity into all design elements
  • Participate in the program design process by assisting with needs assessments, task analysis
  • Propose clear design solutions, considering current instructional design trends, learning technology, and identify opportunities to implement new solutions that align with business and adult learner needs
  • Facilitate virtual training sessions on an ad hoc basis ? Ensure relevant curriculum is accurate and up to date

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience with instructional design and the creation of learning and development materials, including new hire programs, learning modules, supporting materials, and resource guides
  • Comfortable scripting and creating multimedia resources, including editing video and audio files
  • Excellent organizational skills and familiarity with working in an agile environment, including the ability to work under tight deadlines and plan, organize, and carry out multiple, detailed tasks
  •  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communication, Marketing or related field or demonstrated strength in such disciplines, preferred
  • 3+ years of experience preferred, supporting Learning & Development (or related field) initiatives focused on Instruction Design, preferably within a media company
