Inventory Logistics Manager role overview:

Reports directly to the COO and Director of Product. The Inventory and Logistics Manager is in charge of tracking, documenting, and organizing all inventory and related logistics with a focus on keeping databases updated, which is crucial for all other teams that depend on inventory levels to plan for product releases, sales events, and wholesale operations. Responsible for providing reports, projections, and critical analysis on inventory levels for forecasting future orders. Responsible for constant monitoring of stock levels and proactively auditing 3PL, Product Development, and E-commerce teams (cycle counts, product info, etc.) to keep all information in databases synced and up-to-date. Ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, be extremely organized, execute methodically, and pay close attention to detail. Must be self-sufficient and a proactive problem finder and solver. Must be self-driven and able to operate with minimal instruction. Experience using Netsuite, Shopify+, and ShipStation is preferred.
 

Inventory Logistics Manager responsibilities:

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • INBOUND LOGISTICS Procure various quotes for inbound deliveries as soon as bulk orders have an estimated exit-factory date (liaise with Product Team) Work with COO and DoPD to confirm bookings for inbound shipments based on delivery schedule and budgetary requirements Liaise with Product Development team to ensure bulk shipments are packed as per warehouse guidelines
  • Collect and archive all necessary documentation for inbound shipments Communicate with Warehouse team to inform them of all inbound shipments as soon as bookings are confirmed
  •  Regularly monitor status of all pending shipments, keep all teams (COO, DoPD, Warehouse, etc.) updated in real time
  • Act as the #1 point of contact for logistics vendors, especially on the day of delivery appointment. Manage all appointments for inbound deliveries to ensure the Warehouse Team has capacity/manpower to receive shipments properly
  • Shipment book-in: Liaise with Warehouse Team to confirm receipt and condition of all inbound deliveries and ensure that internal database has been updated to reflect the receipt
  • OUTBOUND LOGISTICS Assist with planning, picking, and packing all outbound bulk shipments (inventory transfers between locations, wholesale orders, etc.)
  • Create all paperwork (sales order, packing list, commercial invoice, etc.) for outbound shipments

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

  • Monitor all inventory movements (inbound receipt, outbound fulfillment, cycle counts, location transfers, etc.) in real time and ensure that they are recorded promptly and accurately in internal database
  • Regular and critical monitoring of stock levels to avoid selling out of product, establishing thresholds for reordering, and analyzing sales data and stock levels to create 6-12-month forecasts for ordering needs

DEPARTMENT MANAGEMENT & GROWTH

  • Produce detailed SOP documents that outline all procedures required to execute all Inventory and Logistics operations. This includes constant monitoring and adjusting of these procedures in response to malfunctions or inefficiencies
  • Track and report on spending for all inbound and outbound operations, and hand-off report to COO and DoPD P
  • roactively search for new vendors for all logistical needs (sea, air, rail, trucking freight, packaging, etc.)

 

Inventory Logistics Skills and Qualification:

  • Full time availability to work in our NJ offices (Monmouth County)
  • Ability to work remotely if needed
  • 3-5 years of experience in logistics operations, project management, warehouse management, or related field
  • Excellent time and resource management skills Excellent organizational and communication skills (verbal, written, and visual) with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in Excel/Google Suite, experience using Adobe InDesign and Illustrator is preferred
  • Flexible and agile learner able to adapt to the changing needs of the company
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with continuous desire to learn and grow
