Job description

Our client, a top Entertainment Studio, is looking for a Marketing Project Manager to join their team. This will be a 6-7 month contract and hybrid to the Burbank area. 

Responsibilities:
  • Leads production and execution of the Creative process to ensure efficient workflow, driving key milestones within the project life cycle.
  • Partners with Franchise Strategy to project business needs up to two years in advance of delivery.
  • Responsible for creative guide audits and/or any research requested relating to guides posted on our DAM over the lifecycle of the brand, including but not limited to identifying past creative thematics in guides if requested (e.g. what are all the existing sports themed guides/assets available? Etc.), management and knowledge of the style guide inventory on MMB over the lifecycle of the brand, generating reports and/or pulling PDFs of guides as requested by supervisor, Franchise Strategy, Creative Operations team or any other department making a request.
  • Maintains an accurate definition of scope and timing for IE creative deliverables based on business priorities.
  • Works in partnership with the Creative lead to ensure seamless management of projects and requests.
  • Develops and manages robust project plans and timelines for all assigned projects; proactively and continuously manages updates to project trackers, project management tools or other misc. reports as requested by supervisor.
  • Provides connection point to the regional teams for alignment of IE creative deliverables to global business needs.
  • Implements, champions and drives tools and processes that unlock the business and increase partnership and collaboration between teams.
  • Influences and leads talent and cross-collaboration with other operations team members as well as other team leadership within the organization.
  • Manages approvals waterfall for all projects, including executive-level approval moments.
  • Develops and manages agendas and presentations for cross-functional and executive-level meetings.
  • Liaison for legal, trademark and 3rd party partner approvals for IE-led creative projects; including all creative deliverables (e.g. creative, editorial, social posts, etc.).
  • Works closely with Global Asset Management teams for seamless and timely posting of all creative deliverables and maintains inventory grid /reporting for all guides posted or any future tracking tools developed as requested by supervisor.
  • Facilitates creative reviews and work across lines of business, including Marketing, Parks, Promotions, Games and Publishing and others as needed.
  • Partners with finance and operations team lead to manage the Creative budget, including quarterly forecasting and pacing, and shares information in real time with supervisor for visibility. Ladders up to global Creative budget.

  • Able to quickly adapt and take on new responsibilities and processes as business needs, priorities, and expectations shift, including working across other UP&E brands as required by supervisor.
  • Adheres to UP&E’s full days in the office on Tues/Wed/Thurs unless prior approval secured from supervisor; expectation to be in person during our bi-weekly Team Meetings, the Uni/IE Pod meeting and any other key meetings designated by supervisor.
  • All miscellaneous ad-hoc projects assignments requested by supervisor.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • 5-7 years or more of related work experience, ideally in Creative Operations
  • Works independently and is self-directed with exceptional ability to execute on tasks and understand their contribution to the bigger picture ensuring exceptional operational excellence
  • Strategic, critical thinker and creative problem solver
  • Effective communication, including speaking, writing and active listening as well as a professional presentation • Experience in licensing preferred; understanding of product development cycles desired
  • Strong MAC skills and highly proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Keynote
  • Knowledge of Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator and Project Management software preferred
  • Highest-level project management skills, including attention to detail, time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
  • Must be self-motivated & enjoy working in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
