Advanced contemporary shapewear and clothing brand seeks a Merchandising and Product Development Manager to join their team.5 days a week in office

ROLE OVERVIEW:
Merchandising and design/PD experience needed. This role is a blended role of many talents and skill sets. Background in merchandising is a must, product development a must and design is nice to have. This role is an entrepreneurial business-driving role. Anticipate needs and drive business growth. Cross-functional partners are the wholesale sales team and the DTC buying team. This role reports directly to the Creative Director.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and execute growth strategies for:
- Wholesale specials full-price business
- Off-price specials business
- Full-price influencer programs
- Full-price specials capsules
- All of the above for women’s and children’s businesses (men’s)
- All special projects and businesses
- Build a team and manage a PD/merch associate.
- Responsible for all programs listed:
- Design/inspiration strategies
- Road maps
- Specials trackers
- Sample tracking and development
- Working with the factories to create the product
- Time and action calendars
- Work directly with mills and factories
- Costing
- MSRP setting
- IMU strategy, approval, and execution
- Timely delivery
- Informing all cross-functional partners
- This is an independent team (no design support given unless approved by manager)
- Line sheet creation
- CADD creation (in Illustrator)
- Movex set up (nu order if needed)
- PLM set up
- Grow the business
- Be able to speak to your process and growth strategies
- Able to communicate with line sheets and PowerPoint presentations
- Clear and precise communication with overseas partners to achieve your goals
- Be able to speak to growth in percentages and how it relates to YOY
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
- Required: 7-10 years of experience
- Managing experience needed
- Expert in: Excel
- Knowledge of PLM, movex/nuorder, or other selling tool system
- Ability to conduct and execute in Illustrator.
- Experience in retail math and merchandising
