Job description

As a Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll procedures, compliance with local and federal regulations, and excellent analytical skills. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, organized, and capable of handling sensitive information with confidentiality.

Responsibilities:

 

Payroll Processing:

  • Execute end-to-end payroll processing activities, including data entry, calculations, and validation.
  • Verify and process time and attendance data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Compliance and Regulations:

  • Stay abreast of local, state, and federal payroll tax laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and reporting requirements.
  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll data to identify and rectify discrepancies.
  • Generate and analyze payroll reports to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Problem Resolution:

  • Investigate and resolve payroll-related discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to address employee inquiries and concerns regarding payroll.

System Maintenance:

  • Work with HRIS and other payroll systems to maintain accurate employee records.
  • Implement updates and improvements to the payroll system to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll procedures, tax regulations, and labor laws.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software and HRIS systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
