TITLE: Senior Account Executive - Press
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
SUPERVISES: Account Executive, Assistant Account Executive
LOCATION: NYC - In-office Mon-Thurs
EXPERIENCE: 4+ years working experience
 
*Must have recent beauty experience and established contacts!


General Responsibilities:
  • Work cohesively and supportively alongside Executive Director and team
  • Have and maintain solid relationships with editors, specifically in the beauty and business space
  • Have and maintain significant relationships with digital influencers, content creators and tastemakers in the beauty, wellness, and pop culture space, and beyond
  • Handle important clients and continually raise the bar across all initiatives and press activations by running meetings and conference calls in a professional, educational, and confident manner
  • Monitor media, beauty and general lifestyle trends, ensuring the team creates new strategies and pitch angles, and reports ever changing landscape to clients
  • Maintaining our position as the forefront of the marketing landscape by increasing our thought leadership, knowledge of current trends, strategies and market research including attending seminars, panels, conferences, and attending virtual learning opps (ex: BOF panels) etc.
  • Oversee coverage platforms to increase analytic reporting for clients and campaigns
  • Creative mindset, constantly churning out innovative ideas for projects and story angles; and creative seeding mailers and eventing opportunities beyond that of a standard press preview
  • Press outreach on top company accounts - including all writing, pitching, research, product seeding, executive visibility

Team Management:
  • Create an inspiring workplace environment with an open communication culture
  • Mentor, lead and guide team with a positive attitude and professional tone
  • Maintain organized team action item lists, delivering clear directive and expectations
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines; adjusting systems in place as needed
  • Set and track clear team goals for team, while monitoring team performance

Client Responsibilities:
  • Brainstorm, ideate, and conceptualize for client, compiling relevant and forward-thinking outreach lists, pitch angles and activations
  • Serve as key agency point of contact for day-to-day client communication
  • Lead client status calls, giving comprehensive, concise and clear updates on campaign management
  • Responsible for securing strong and consistent press coverage with significant results from strategic pitching across client roster
  • Drive day-to-day account needs, including but not limited to ongoing press outreach, monitoring, research, product seeding, executive visibility, and client strategy
  • Develop and execute forward-thinking communications strategies and tactics for clients while securing consistent client mentions across editorial landscape
  • Oversee team to ensure that all research and working documents needed on each account have been properly executed
  • Ensure account deliverables are executed and client relationships remain positive
  • Show proactivity, resourcefulness and tenacity in problem solving
  • Create and provide comprehensive activation recaps that are visually impressive and show ROI
  • Extremely close media contacts - digital, broadcast, print; confident in securing strong press placements on a weekly basis
  • Cultivate strong vendor and eventing relationships for press previews, curated mailings, consumer activations, and more
