Job description
The Senior Manager of Product Development is responsible for leading the product development team in creating and launching innovative products that meet customer needs. This position will oversee all aspects of the product development process, from concept to launch, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The Senior Manager will collaborate with other departments to ensure successful implementation of new products into the market.Responsibilities:
• Develop strategies for product innovation and improvement based on customer feedback, industry trends, competitive analysis, etc.
• Lead cross-functional teams in developing new products from concept to launch; manage timelines and budgets accordingly.
• Oversee research activities related to product design and development; analyze data collected from research efforts to inform decisions about future products or features.
• Collaborate with marketing department to develop promotional materials for new products; ensure accuracy of information presented in these materials.
• Monitor performance of existing products; identify areas for improvement or potential opportunities for expansion/growth.
• Manage relationships with external vendors as needed (e.g., suppliers, manufacturers).
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations throughout the product lifecycle (e.g., safety standards).
