Our client, a rapidly growing CPG company, is looking for a Sr. Buyer to join their team!
The Buyer will actively foster relationships with suppliers, ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, and drive cost savings through operational improvements, pricing initiatives, and regular RFPs.
You WILL:
- Ensure timely and cost-effective material delivery for production.
- Drive cost savings through operational efficiencies and regular RFPs.
- Collaborate with production teams to avoid bottlenecks.
- Implement supplier performance management, including quarterly reviews.
- Lead category management projects for optimized purchasing.
- Manage excess materials efficiently.
- Provide cost analysis and review cost reduction activities.
- Review and approve invoicing and bill of lading before payment.
- Proactively resolve price, quality, delivery, or invoice issues with suppliers.
You HAVE:
- 4+ years of procurement and supply chain experience.
- Ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Experience in the consumer goods/beverage and manufacturing industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products and Google Drive.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel
*Must be willing to work onsite in Fairfield, CA (5x/week II flexible as these come up).
