Job description

Our client, a growing lifestyle brand in the CPG space is looking for a Social Media Manager with proven experience building brands targeting males 18-45 through social marketing efforts. This is a freelance role (40 hours a week) with potential to go fulltime that is primarily remote. Candidate must be local to LA to go onsite as needed.

The ideal candidate must have tangible experience in organic and paid strategies and must have experience building a community of highly engaged followers and driving social platform sales leveraging visual and verbal storytelling, social listening, data analysis, community management, influencer marketing efforts, etc. This role will own brand voice, strategy, execution, content development, and day-to-day management of all social media accounts.


Key Responsibilities:
• Strategy Development: Develop, evaluate, and refine dynamic social media strategies that align with the brand goals. Strategically extend our reach and influence across platforms including but not limited to Instagram (40%), TikTok (30%), Facebook (Meta) (10%), YouTube (10%), Reddit (5%), LinkedIn (5%).
• Content Creation: Produce and manage engaging multimedia content. Utilize AI and tools like Adobe (Premiere Rush), Canva, VEED, OpenShot, Runway, etc. to craft compelling visual and textual content.
• Engagement Management: Enhance follower count and engagement rates with interactive content, and targeted campaigns. Respond to social media interactions promptly to ensure an engaged community.
• Affiliate Marketing: Develop and implement terms and conditions for affiliates including commission rates, product information, and marketing guidelines. Track conversions and pay commissions,
• Content Scheduling, Analytics and Reporting: Leverage content planning technologies such as Sprout Social, Later or Buffer. Leverage native platform dashboard as well as tools such as Hootsuite, Talkwalker, Brandwatch, Rival IQ, Mention, etc. to monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance. Use insights to optimize strategies and report on ROI.
• Campaign Management: Coordinate digital marketing campaigns related and maintain brand consistency across all channels.

Requirements:
• Minimum (6) years’ experience in a social media management role with proven strategic, creative, and analytics capabilities.
• Deep knowledge of social media platforms and strategies to increase followers and engagement in a short amount of time.
• Skilled in social media content production with proven experience with AI, video, and photo editing tools such as Adobe, Canva, VEED, OpenShot, Runway, etc.
• Experienced with social media technologies for content planning (like Buffer or Later), social listening (Mention, Brandwatch, etc.), and performance measurement (like Hootsuite).
• Experience driving affiliate sales and leads (Getubu.com).
• Excellent understanding of digital marketing principles, SEO, and the interplay between social engagement and broader marketing goals.
• Superior content development skills with the ability to craft engaging video and static content with quick turnarounds.
• Experience creating, managing, and measuring paid social efforts.
• Experience with native social measurement tools for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook (Meta), You Tube, LinkedIn, etc.
• Ability to manage influencer partnerships and brand affiliates.
• Experience with A/B testing and creative optimization.
