Beauty Brand is seeking a full-time Social Media Manager to support our rapidly growing brand and own/grow/manage our social media presence across multiple platforms (primarily Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Pinterest). The Social Media Manager will take on an extremely important role as the primary social media strategist, creative storyteller, and community builder across Beauty’s social media platforms.
Our ideal candidate is thoughtful and highly strategic, highly creative, and a collaborative, eager self-starter who isn’t afraid to dive in and get their hands dirty. They will have a sharp visual eye, a finger on the pulse of trends, and be KPI-oriented. This person MUST have a demonstrated and established track record of building a stand-out social presence for one or more beauty, fashion, or lifestyle/CPG brands over the last 5 years, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment. This person also ideally has a track record of building highly engaged audiences within our target demographic of 35-55-year-old women.
With a pulse on what’s trending (or about to trend) + the wisdom to know which trends to capitalize on (vs. ignore), and an understanding of how to build a strategy and cadence that dovetails into the larger marketing calendar, the Social Media Manager will strategize ideas for fresh, original content across platforms; collaborate with and present to our marketing team on social media strategy; coordinate and manage a number of contractors and vendors; and create/track/report on KPIs and performance metrics.
Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 4+ years of social media strategy + social media management at a DTC, retail brand or agency
  • Demonstrated experience building social audiences from early-stage or ground-up across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook (Pinterest a plus)
  • Experience working for beauty, fashion, and/or lifestyle CPG brands required
  • Experience working closely with a founder strongly preferred
  • Early-stage startup experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience creating social media strategy from scratch and managing that strategy across multiple platforms with minimal supervision
  • B.A. in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Business or a related field preferred
Skill Sets:
  • Demonstrated ability to strategize fresh/original content across social media platforms, as well as manage and implement social media strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to set, track, and report KPIs in a cohesive, compelling manner
  • Up-to-date personal knowledge of recent changes/updates to social media platforms (including Instagram and TikTok) and how those changes affect brands’ social media strategy
  • 3+ years of experience building highly engaged social communities around a brand, its products, and mission
  • 3+ years demonstrated experience doing content creation (creating/editing photos/videos) for social media posts
  • Experience writing/editing copy for social media posts strongly preferred
  • Elevated aesthetic
  • A pulse on what’s trending (and which trends are worth capitalizing on) across social media platforms
  • Experience promoting brand purpose/mission + working within brand and voice/tone guidelines across social media platforms
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • A strong work ethic; a flexible, can-do attitude; and the ability to embrace constructive feedback and iterate accordingly
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
