Job description

Our client, a digital agency has an immediate need for a Sr. Manager/Associated Director of Experience Strategy. This is a remote freelance opportunity (40 hours a week) through the end of the year with potential to extend. Must be US based and be able to work EST/CST time zone.

 

Our Associate of Experience Strategy is a senior contributor who partners closely with our creative and technology teams to create impactful, innovative, and measurable digital experience work (sites, apps, emerging technologies). Grounded in an in-depth and empathetic understanding of the business challenge, cultural trends, and consumer priorities, motivators and pain points, our Associate Director of Experience Strategy focuses on how to effectively solve for experience gaps between today’s consumer experience and the desired future state.

 

Your Responsibilities

• Creating detailed, yet simple presentations that tell stories and provide recommendations that contribute to the strategic direction of client work.

• Understanding how business, brands and customers interact, with a deep knowledge of the role that technology plays in this relationship.

• Partnering with clients to understand business models, objectives, and user behaviors and synthesize those insights to develop product visions and long-term product roadmaps.

• Building consumer personas, identifying pain points and mapping experience journeys to envision brand experiences across web, mobile, AI and other emerging interfaces.

• Identifying cultural trends and keeping a pulse on internet and start-up culture; providing teams and clients with a point of view on how it affects the way brands connect with people.

• Analyzing a variety of data-centric resources, hacking data, researching behaviors, looking at what people are doing and hypothesizing why.

 

Required Skills

• A portfolio of thoughtful and interesting strategy work with a focus on digital experiences (.com, apps, etc.) – not digital campaigns.

• A strong analytical thinker and translator with exceptional data-dexterity, including the ability to uncover insights that drive strategy, creative and implementation.

• An eagerness to generate insights and ideas, but equally excited to roll up your sleeves to get the work done, alone or with others.

• Executive-level presence and presentation skills.

• Someone who is insanely excited about their work and knows how to spread that enthusiasm.

• Someone with the ability to make complex topics understandable.

• Someone who is inherently inquisitive about human behavior, business strategy and culture.

• Someone who is excited by shifting the ways modern should agencies work and throwing out the baggage of legacy practices and processes.

• Experience managing direct reports with an appetite to grow teams under them.

• At least 7-years as an all-around professional with exceptional communication, organizational and time management skills, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to change.
