Our agency client has an immediate need for a skilled Studio Manager to join their team on contract that has potential to go full time if a good fit!
Responsibilities:
• Have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, practice your best juggling and negotiating talents, stay calm and be kind, and lead with a velvet hammer.
• Demonstrate familiarity with design deliverables in all mediums, design applications (Adobe Suite), Microsoft Teams, Office (Word, Excel, PPT), and workflow software such as JIRA (ideal) or like applications.
• Review intake forms to ensure direction is clear, time frame and hours budgeted are doable, and creative assets are accessible before projects begin.
• Partner with the design director to assign proper talent to each project. Be able to make production resource assignments without consult when needed.
• Coordinate and schedule hand-off meetings between Studio and creative brand leads. Attend brand kickoffs as needed.
• Maintain and lead the group’s stand-up meetings. Enforce self-trafficking of projects within the team and assist with ticket updates with the PMO group.
• QA/proof or coordinate with the Proofing group to ensure client and creative brand team edits were properly addressed by the designers.
• Ensure proper file naming and server placement for working and final files for Studio. Assist with asset requests and management.
• Work closely with the creative ops director to review forecasted work to ensure proper resources are available week to week.
• Assist the creative ops director in reviewing and improving current tools, workflows, and processes for the team.
• Help with limited project management of stand-alone Studio projects; potential to be more as the group grows.
• Assist with limited design production.
THINGS YOU HAVE
• The ability to think smart, live curiously, work collaboratively, and act passionately
• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience
• Three to five years of experience in studio and/or project management across a range of design project types; agency or studio-like environment experience a must
• Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to traffic projects within the group while proactively addressing teams’ needs
• High degree of computer literacy, enabling you to learn new software and tools quickly
• The ability to effectively work with team designers, creative brand leads, and project managers
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivation and a strong sense of urgency
SKILL SET
Required
• Experience in studio management working closely with designers and design leads.
• Expertise in Microsoft Teams, Office (PPT, Excel, Word), Acrobat Pro, and JIRA (or like workflow tools).
• Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Clear understanding of digital and print industry standards.
• Ability to self-manage, multi-task, strong workflow and organization skills, and detail and process oriented.
• Understanding of design principles; knowing the difference between good and great design.
Nice to have
• Experience in creative resourcing, specifically with designers; understanding skill sets required for design projects
• Experience in project and/or traffic management
• Working knowledge of After Effects, Premiere, 3D modeling, and animation tools
• Knowledge of paid and organic social industry standards
• Understanding of video design and editing production
