Job description

Our client, a top ad agency is looking for a UX/UI Designer. This is a fully remote freelance position (20-40 hours a week depending on project scope) for about 3 months with potential to extend. Must be able to work PST hours if located in another time zone.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and iterate designs and prototypes in partnership with a team of researchers, designers, project managers, and developers
  • Collaboratively working with developers to create innovative solutions that are achievable within specific budget, timeline and technology constraints
  • Working closely with Account/Project management team to clearly understand and execute on objectives, timelines, and budgets
  • Value the practice of design iteration by always experimenting, evaluating, and learning
  • Apply user-centered and data-driven design strategies to projects that range from mobile applications to complex technical systems
  • Motivated by user research and can translate data into design solutions (including flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes)
  • Provide intuitive, meaningful, and elegant interpretations of complex concepts based on client information and business requirements

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Interactive, Visual or Product Design, Human Factors or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience building user-centered interactive designs.
  • A portfolio that showcases, thoughtful, simple, deliberate intuitive design, with extraordinary interaction, motion, and visuals.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly articulate your concepts and rationale.
  • Experience crafting web and mobile products.
  • Experienced knowledge of design tools and interactive tools(Figma, sketch, Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, illustrator and etc) for wireframing and high-fidelity mockups.
  • Ability to improve and expand existing design systems/components.
  • Produce detailed spec and graphic assets for implementation.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Management and Engineering counterparts.
  • Experience working with research and insights.
  • Experience conducting testing and heuristic analysis.
  • Collaborate with partners on user journey development.
  • Ability to work unsupervised in an agile environment.
  • Experience working with decentralized or global teams a plus.
  • Experience crafting for a global audience in multiple languages a plus.
