Job description

24 Seven is partnering with a top global sportwear client to help them find a UX Designer for this remote opportunity. This is a 12 month contract with potential to extend. While on contract, you'd be eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, sick time, 401K and holiday pay.

The ideal candidate: will have a portfolio showcasing experience templatizing and codifying accessible, pixelperfect, cross-platform designs at scale, able to design components for Desktop, Mobile Web and Native App environments and be highly proficient in industry standard design tools.

Our ideal UX Design Systems designer is obsessed with pixel-perfection and has a deep understanding of scalable, component-based atomic design solutions and UX best practices. This is a critical role that will take designs and equip our team and partners with a toolkit that enables productivity at scale with speed, confidence, and precision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Audit existing design libraries and combine/reinvent with a strategic and scalable approach
• Identify opportunities across existing digital ecosystems to reduce UX & UI redundancy
• Collaborate with brand partners to create compliant and consistent color, iconography, typography elements and guidelines consistent with brand standards
• Establish naming conventions and organizational frameworks for all levels of atomic design
• Combine fragmented and sometimes disparate design elements into a shared component ecosystem
• Establish necessary frameworks, documentation, workflows and toolkits to activate, maintain and evangelize the importance of system design on behalf of our users and the team
• Work closely with design, engineering and product partners to deliver end-to-end scalable, responsive and cross-platform components and guidelines
• Help steward our commitment to accessibility
• Build and grow a system that enables a cohesive digital experience while elevating the brand
• Autonomously define and plan milestones to drive efficiency and productivity across teams
• Compile and present to peers, partners and stakeholders in a clear and actionable way
• Provide guidance and training across the organization to support the UX Design Team 

QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITES:
• A beautiful portfolio that demonstrates experience templatizing and codifying accessible, pixelperfect, cross-platform designs at scale
• Must have extensive understanding and hands-on experience with atomic design best practices
• Deep knowledge of native HIG and Material design standards
• Fluency in a variety design crafts (UX, UI, Design Systems, Prototyping)
• Experience designing for and working with CMS software (e.g. CloudCMS, Contentful, AEM, Storybook)
• Expert proficiency in industry standard design tools (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Invision, Adobe Creative Suite, Zeplin)
• Deep understanding of WCAG standards and inclusive design practices
• Strategic design thinking, processes and design system related work experience that influenced business outcomes
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience articulating design strategy
• Experience designing components for Desktop, Mobile Web and Native App environments
• Capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• 4+ years of UX design experience
• Program Experience: Figma, Sketch, Invision, Adobe Creative Suite, Zeplin)
• Deep understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
