Job Description: Visual DesignerWe are seeking a talented and creative Visual Designer to join our client’s team This role will primarily focus on designing visually stunning and engaging book layouts for digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to bring ideas to life through innovative and captivating visual concepts.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including writers, editors, and developers, to create visually appealing book layouts that align with client’s design standards and brand guidelines.
2. Develop and execute creative concepts for book covers, page layouts, typography, and other visual elements that enhance the overall reading experience.
3. Conduct thorough research to understand market trends, user preferences, and competitor offerings in the digital book publishing industry.
4. Utilize industry-standard design software and tools to create high-quality visual assets for both print and digital formats.
5. Ensure that all designs are optimized for various devices and screen sizes, providing a seamless and visually appealing reading experience across different platforms.
6. Collaborate with the development team to ensure the successful implementation of designs, including testing and troubleshooting any visual issues that may arise.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, technologies, and best practices in the interactive/web design field, and incorporate them into your work.
8. Actively participate in design reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve the overall quality of the design deliverables.
9. Maintain accurate project documentation, including design specifications, style guides, and any other necessary documentation for future reference.
10. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring that all design projects are completed within set deadlines.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Visual Designer, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in book layout design.
3. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, or other industry-standard tools.
4. Solid understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.
5. Knowledge of responsive design principles and experience designing for various screen sizes and devices.
6. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts and ideas.
7. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics, with the ability to maintain consistency and adhere to brand guidelines.
9. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other web technologies is a plus.
10. Passion for books, storytelling, and creating visually compelling experiences.
