Job description

Our client is a rapidly growing female-founded fine jewelry company specializing in customized engagement rings and fine jewelry. The newly created Brand Director will be responsible for leading and running a newly created, direct to consumer bridal and fine jewelry brand. The brand, currently in stealth mode, was born after more than a decade of the brands success within the industry. Deep data insights coupled with the voices of our highly engaged community identified an exciting opportunity to fill an emerging niche in the bridal market. Equal parts strategic and operational, the Brand Director will be responsible for developing and executing the strategies and tactical day to day responsibilities to bring this new brand to market.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Execution

Own the launch of the brand from stealth to commercial market.
Possess a deep, ongoing understanding of the industry landscape and current trends in order to inform and shape the brand strategy.
Partner with both the CEO and Merchandising to align brand and commerce strategy with product strategy in order to develop the product assortment plan and roadmap for the business.
Harnessing insights from cross-functional colleagues in Planning, Product Development, Data Insights and Finance, partner with Merchandising to define new product development strategies across all categories.
Building off consumer insights and the brand development done to date, continue to further define and evolve the brand identity and customer segments to formulate a comprehensive go to market strategy.
Own the P&L for the business; delivering and managing forecasts and roadmaps that drive continued growth for the brand.
Responsible for essential KPIs, including but not limited to revenue growth, profitability, and customer acquisition.

Sales & Marketing

Collaborate with Marketing to set effective digital marketing strategies and campaigns for owned, earned and paid channels that drive traffic, maximize conversion and increase e-commerce sales.
Develop, test and validate new channel specific strategies driving brand awareness, growth and engagement.
Partner with Marketing to drive customer engagement, acquisition and top line growth through SEM, SEO, affiliate marketing, content and retargeting efforts.
Manage social media support across all platforms

E-commerce Management & Analytics

Own the digital merchandising strategy for a multi-category website
Analyze on-site performance and analytics to gain insights and make informed decisions on site merchandising, customer journey, UX/UI design direction and SEO optimization
Oversee the QA of content and merchandising across the store
Oversee day-to-day management of the e-commerce site including any redesigns, feature enhancements, and troubleshooting any issues that arise by partnering with our external developer team
Ensure all product-related pages on the website are updated, accurate and aligned with company goals, brand positioning and vision of the CEO

Leadership & Management

Unify key stakeholders, including executive and cross functional team members, to influence buy in on key ideas and strategies to drive the business
Develop strategic relationships with internal partners and communicate across the organization to ensure alignment and clarity of project objectives and roadmaps as well as major initiatives in development
Partner continuously and seamlessly with Planning, Merchandising and Marketing to ensure alignment around the revenue objectives of the business, and the plans and team resources needed to achieve them
Define structural and departmental needs and expertise necessary to support the expansion of the business

Requirements

8+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Go-to-market experience with direct-to-consumer brand or product.
Strong working knowledge and experience with digital marketing channels including Social Media, SEO, SEM, and affiliate marketing
Experience both designing and executing strategies that have scaled a product company’s market growth and revenue

Hybrid Work Model - 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Office Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with the knowledge that we have a startup culture and your day may extend past listed office hours
